Common questions first:
Open Settings inside Gilsung and tap "Restore purchases" on any device signed into the same Apple Account. There is no Gilsung account to sign into, so the store account is the only thing that carries a purchase.
Almost always the year boundary. The BaZi year turns at lichun, around 4 February, not at Lunar New Year. An app that uses Lunar New Year will give a different year pillar to anyone born between the two dates. Gilsung uses lichun, which is what the tradition uses.
Two likely reasons. Gilsung uses true local solar time rather than clock time, so a birth far from the meridian of its time zone can sit in a different hour branch than a clock-time calculation gives. And a birth after 23:00 is in the late-zi hour, which rolls the day pillar to the next day. Both are stated in the chart so you can see which applied.
Tailored readings need a recent phone. On older devices Gilsung still computes and shows your full chart, pillars, ten gods and luck pillars; it just will not write the prose. Either way your information stays on your phone.
Settings, then "Start over," erases everything: your chart, saved people, and everything the app has tailored to you. Deleting the app does the same. Your information was only ever on your phone, so that is all it takes.
Yes. Gilsung's data moves with a standard phone-to-phone migration or a device backup, because it lives in the app's local storage the way your photos do. There is no account to sign into.
We take the math personally; the engine has its own solar-term and sexagenary tables and is tested against them. Email hello@gilsung.app with your device model and a screenshot, and if it involves a chart, the birth date, time and place you used, plus the time zone.
